October Book Choice

BOOK CLUB MEETING WILL BE HELD AT STEPHANO'S RESTAURANT, NYS RT. 13, PULASKI, ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 24TH. WE WILL MEET FOR DINNER AT 5 PM; DISCUSSION WILL START AT 6 PM.

In October the Reader's Choice Book Club will be taken on a tour through the Adirondacks, following the exploits of Reverend Frank Reed, an itinerant preacher or "sky pilot", as he visited the lumber camps during the 1930's and 1940's ministering to the hard-working lumberjacks. Join us as we enjoy this "nostalgic portrayal of men who were proud to call themselves lumberjacks, men who made their living with a buck saw and back of steel". Copies of Frank A. Reed's book, entitled Lumberjack Sky Pilot, are available at the Ainsworth Library in Sandy Creek.

The Club will meet on Monday, October 24th, to discuss the book. Please join us for a "rollickin' good" conversation. Guests are always welcome.
