READERS' CHOICE BOOK CLUB

This month the Book Club is reading about Haiti, in support of member Ed Hess' upcoming trip to that country with a mission group. There are two choices, one a non-fiction work by author Tracy Kidder, Mountains Beyond Mountains, chronicling the life and works of Dr. Paul Farmer in healing people in countries throughout the world, especially in Haiti.

The second choice is a work of fiction by Edwidge Danticat, Claire of the Sea Light, set in Haiti itself. Following is a description of the work by this acclaimed author, a native of Haiti.

The Book Club will meet on Thursday, March 9th, at the First Baptist Church on Harwood Drive in Sandy Creek at 5 PM to discuss these reads. Please join us - everyone is welcome.
